Palms Trax is the alias of Jay Donaldson, a British DJ and producer known for his eclectic and soulful approach to dance music. Born in Saltford, UK, in 1991, Donaldson began his musical journey with jazz piano and even played in a Metallica cover band during his youth. His passion for electronic music was ignited during an internship at London's Phonica Records, where he delved into Chicago house and Detroit techno. This exploration led to his debut release, the Equation EP, on Lobster Theremin in 2013, which garnered significant attention in the underground scene.

As a DJ, Palms Trax is celebrated for his dynamic sets that traverse genres, incorporating vintage house, esoteric disco, and elements of the UK underground. His performances at renowned festivals such as Dekmantel, Love International, and Horst Arts and Music have solidified his reputation as a versatile and engaging performer.
